There’s a book that hit the book stores around 2009 and became #1 New York Times Bestseller! The book is about animal rights veganism. Whenever I hear the story told, or perhaps watch a program on tv about how animals are slaughtered, I certainly do get grossed out!
I know quite a few vegans who eat this way for the sole purpose of animal rights. Fine. But what are you trading meat, dairy and egg in for? The book I’ve mentioned has a meal planning section that lists such items as these:
- Fake chicken patty
- Fake meatballs
- Fake deli meats
- Fake meatloaf
- Fake tuna
I kid you not! Plus other strange ‘fake’ items! I just don’t get it. If a person chooses to give up these things, yet takes on ‘fake’ versions, what does that say? To me it says they can’t let go of the past! I’ve seen these items in the grocery store and they are full of other ingredients that make me say ‘eewww.’ When I was doing weight watchers years ago, before embracing the ME-gan lifestyle, I would eat some of this stuff – and let me tell you…can we talk “gas?” I was a walking time bomb! I could have blasted myself to the moon!
Look, I LOVE animals and I don’t want to harm them! The farm animal life just isn’t like it used to be years ago – it’s quite sad! But if someone can love an animal that much to stop eating it, then why can’t they also consider their own health and importance? Putting this ‘fake’ stuff into your body can’t be that good.
Just something to think about I suppose!
The ME-gan lifestyle not only eliminates all meats, dairy, egg and gluten, it puts you on the true path of health and happiness! Nothing fake about it! It’s pure like a fresh mountain stream!
True love,
Mary
