Can we talk?
This is what I think…it doesn’t take a brain surgeon to figure out that ‘many’ children are raised on junk food; in other words, high fat, high sugar, high chemicals and color dye infested foods! I see it in shopping malls, in restaurants, in dept. stores…just about everywhere; kids eating cookies, ice cream, fast food “SUPER SIZED’ meals, etc. Who’s fooling who here? But they are kids, who is allowing this to happen?
As for adults, I see the same thing…poor eating choices, and no concern for their health. I’ve seen some people who eat according to where the best ‘bargain’ of the day is being promoted. So basically, if a fast food restaurant is having a 2 for 1 sale, they eat there. If they have a coupon for an all-you-can-eat restaurant, they go there. What’s wrong with this picture? They have no control over their life. In fact, it is just the opposite, the food industries and the marketing agents have the control. They have surrendered their health to the most persuasive advertiser! How pathetic is that?
The bottom line to obesity is…WE CANNOT MAINTAIN A ‘NORMAL’ CALORIC INTAKE AND BE OBESE. IT’S NOT POSSIBLE. But what IS possible…is to find any excuse we can, other than its true cause, to blame obesity on, just as long as we can keep eating and not have to own up to it, giving the blame to someone or something else.
And what’s worse is to see kids being fed sugar like there was no tomorrow, and then be punished for being out of control! Again I ask…WHAT’S WRONG WITH PEOPLE?
Common sense remains, it’s just been infiltrated with poor reasoning and scientific GAR-BAGE!
Don’t put off losing weight because you think you’ll be eating a ‘little bit’ of tasteless food. This is simply not true. You’ll be eating ‘LOTS’ of healthy & delicious food! Eating GREAT and losing weight go hand-in-hand. We need exercise too, it’s part of life! Our blood needs oxygen! And for HEAVEN’S SAKE, for those of us who are in charge of a child’s life, we must make healthy choices so the child can avoid severe consequences down the road for something they had no control over in the first place.
