I look back on my life and see so much failure. Yet, those closest to me say the opposite, they say they see a person who tried, never gave up and eventually changed her life around. This is encouraging to me! I believe we see ourselves differently than how others see us. But when I say that I look back and see failure, it’s because I do! There was a lot of failure, no doubt – and I don’t think anyone who knows me cannot deny that. But what I can also say is that failure never stopped me, and that’s what others see in me. I know that I am strong, because I have always somehow managed to keep on going. There had been times when life had basically shut me down…but I never gave up.
You see, the critical element of surviving is passion! I thought success, saw it, and made it happen! It took me years! And the funny thing is that I never considered myself a patient person! My life shows otherwise!
Learn from your failures, because if not…then what do you learn from? This is what I have done, and what I continue to do! Failing never ends, and learning should never end!
Speaking in terms of my health – I had to take control and regain it – it was not easy, but I was passionate about it! I wanted to be the best I could be!
Be the best that you can be too, take control and make it happen!
The ME-gan lifestyle encourages taking control of your life and making good change happen! I have a very quick story to share with you! I stopped drinking caffeine about 2 months ago! If and when I feel like I want coffee, I simply brew decaf. I had withdrawals for at least 10 days – it was not pretty – headaches and lethargy! Oh, I’m glad I got through it! But today, I was out of decaf coffee and chose to go to Starbucks and by a cup. It was not decaf, even though that is what I ordered! I don’t know if they poured the wrong coffee by mistake, or if their decaf has caffeine in it….but I felt awful! My heart was jittery, I had stomach problems right away, and have had a headache all day long! It still has not worn off!
This is why I prefer to buy my own groceries and prepare & eat my own food – and drinks! When other people are in charge, you really have no idea what you are getting. Why chance it? I don’t anymore! I suppose if you have no adverse reactions to anything, and don’t have to worry about what you eat or drink, then you’d be fine, but with me – it makes a big difference! I’ve eaten out on occasion when the waiter swore there was no gluten or dairy in the food, but as it turned out there was and who paid? I did – with pain!! I got tired fast of having these mistakes happen, and just don’t eat out anymore unless I absolutely have to – and then, I usually just eat a salad or baked potato!! I’ve learned to play it safe!
There are some people who love to eat out, or simply can’t find the time to shop & cook! I can only say to them:
try it, you’ll like it!
One way I have learned from my failures is by changing the way I eat! There is no better way than the ME-gan way! It’s all good, and I can still enjoy my Italian food! I love my pasta with marinara & eggplant!! Ehhh…I’m Italian, whatayawantfromme??! Try Hodgson Mill brand – gluten free spaghetti! Even if you can eat gluten, these are simply DE-LISH!! Out of this world! Only one issue… I boil them for 4 minutes longer than the package calls for! You may find that you need to do the same! 10 minutes instead of 6. You be the judge! It goes so well with an ice cold Redbridge! Gluten free beer is awesome! Here are some pics for you to salivate over!! M-m-m…MANGIA!!!
